Cold eid

A bit odd this eid. Not much celebration. Not much to eat. Just the lazy day, where we eat snacks, and get Coke. And return to normal work. Ami and Fozia never wore their Eid dresses. On the other hand, Naeem kept wearing his eid greens, from Eid prayers yesterday morning, till now.

Ali was also having his Eid in Karachi this time. It was a first for him and his siblings. They usually spend theirs in Mirpurkhas. He said that this one had no zing to it. He calls it, "A black Eid."

Ali and I prepared for our coming exams, just a week ahead now. Though the study time did not stretch into late night, because, it was still an Eid day. And some festivities were still coming our way.

The stupid box (TV) failed us. All programs were of the least quality possible. Not an inch of creativity. Lame stand up comedy. Goat stories, and jokes. Indian Awards, and Breaking News on News channels. Naeem summed it up, "It was no fun this time. It feels as if there's no Eid." And then, Naeem would let out his distinct cry for Mother to attend, "Get me something to eat", on which Ami would start her lecture on eating habits.

Eid day.

Dr. Aziz did come in the evening. Ami served them luke warm coffee.

Sister's having one of her many ill-timed Calls at AKUH, making Ami the Chief Chef for this Eid. A difficult, hunger stricken situation.

Tomorrow: Work for the coming exams+ start designing the 2012 logo. I have had this annual ritual of designing the year logo since 2008. They have all been interesting, but none has brought me fame/fortune yet. One has to wait patiently for things to bear fruit.

Tune in to year eleven
